PDF support on Bedrock is available through both the Converse API and the InvokeModel API. Visual PDF analysis (charts, images, layouts) via the Converse API requires citations to be enabled; without citations only basic text extraction is available. The InvokeModel API allows full PDF-processing control without forced citations.
